Sometimes the simplest things are the most enjoyable – and that certainly holds true for La Sandwicherie on Miami Beach. This sandwich bar tucked between the BP gas station and the tattoo parlor at 14th Street and Collins Avenue offers a selection of sandwiches, salads, fresh-fruit smoothies and coffees. ($2-$8.5).
We’re partial to the prosciutto and mozzarella on a baguette (brought in from Le Chic bakery) or the pate sandwich (love those corichons, they make everything yummy). But the huge salads at La Sandwicherie, packed with an assortment of meats and crisp veggies and are equally enjoyable.
And don’t forget the Dijon-champagne dressing. La Sandwicherie must make this by the truckload, because everywhere you turn, customers are topping each bite with this tasty vinaigrette and asking for more. Seating is limited to the outdoor bar at La Sandwicherie—but the misters keep you comfortable enough. Late night, they sandwich (pardon the pun) customers four and five deep along the bar, but it’s well worth the wait for the food and for the opportunity to mingle with the boisterous, post-club crowd. Open until 5am; catering services available. 229 14th Street, Miami Beach, FL, 33139. Tel: (305) 532-8934.
